South Coast Coatings LLC recently completed a 12,000 square foot Urethane Cement flooring system for a food production facility here in Greenville, South Carolina. This project included a full demolition of the existing floor, followed by installation of a 6-inch integral cove base, creating a seamless, sanitary, and highly durable flooring solution.
Before installing the new system, our team completed a full removal of the existing floor coating to ensure proper adhesion and long-term performance.
Our prep process included:
- Mechanical demolition of failing and contaminated flooring
- Surface grinding and profiling for optimal bond
- Crack and substrate repairs as needed
- Thorough cleaning and preparation for coating installation
Proper surface prep is one of the most critical steps in any commercial flooring project, and its what ensures the system performs for years to come.
